In this week's blog, UMD doctoral student in urban education, Staci Pippin-Kottkamp and Master's in Public Policy student Carlos Orbe, discuss Maryland SB 129. In their podcast, they highlight key issues in SB 129, share the current discourse about immigrants in the state, and offer policy-relevant research and critique for MD legislators to consider. The SB 129 is currently being referred to committee for review. This important bill would provide legal counsel and support in deportation proceedings. Many advocacy groups are working hard to inform legislators.

We hope you enjoy the podcast!

We have a great line up for the blog in 2023, and look forward to sharing research in the new year.
